WORKSHOPS & EVENTS

Lisa has been teaching workshops in different venues around Brisbane for over 4 years and has road tripped to NSW, Mackay and Darwin to teach basketry, crochet and stitching! 

A new direction in 2018 saw the introduction of monthly Creative Gatherings held in Lisa's home on Brisbane's Southside. These gatherings are open to all makers and those wanting to learn and share skills. It's an opportunity to connect and create with others in a relaxed, informal setting. Each gathering allows you to bring along a work in progress or start a new project, and Lisa will be on hand to help and guide you. Perhaps you would like to learn a Basketry technique, Modern Crochet, Slow Stitching, or take part in a communal Natural Dye pot?

Each month you have the choice to learn something new, teach and inspire others, share skills, make friends, and just relax and take some time to make with your hands. Lunch, tea and coffee are provided in your fee. BYO project and enjoy the company of other creatives or try one of many workshops on offer. Supplies in a kit form can be purchased to learn a new skill, with Lisa instructing you and getting you started. 

Throughout the year Lisa teaches at several events, so check back to get all the upcoming dates and venues for the year. 2019 will see Lisa travel to some beautiful regional areas to teach and connect with smaller communities. She will also be part of a collaborative exhibition with other Brisbane artisans later in the year. Please get in touch if you would like to book Lisa for an event, private workshop or interesting collaboration.
